PERSONALITY: Mysterious and shady, Krycek is a man of both introvert and extrovert ways. He's a silent killer, preferring not to make a sound when he assassinates who he must, but when in contact with those he feels a sort of trust to, he'll speak up and let it all pour. This goes specifically for Mulder. Rather cocky at times, there is a rare chance you'll ever see him smile. Generally, he isn't a happy human being and does his job with stern expressions. Sure, he gets a kick out of some things, but for the most part, Krycek is a cynical man with little to live for.

SKILLS: Not only being a spy, but a member of the Russian government, Krycek has learned the basic training one must go through in order to survive the missions given. Since it's assumed that Krycek is Russian, he has close contacts with the government and is fully able to speak and understand the Russian language. Krycek is a strong-willed and flexible man, able to survive on his own for days, he can withstand most dire situations.

WEAKNESSES: He is easily beaten by none other than Fox Mulder due to a vulnerability and closeness he feels toward him. He takes a lot of beatings by Skinner, but it is unknown as to why he lets himself be beaten so easily. Not really one to trust people, Krycek is often closed off from a lot of people and prefers to stay by himself. He has a weakness for Marita, the woman he secretly made love with, and ever since then, he tries to stay away from her. Seeing her harmed or in danger makes him weak due to his affection he still feels for her.

HISTORY: Not much is known about Alex's childhood growing up, but it is mentioned in a previous episode of X-Files that his parents were Russian Immigrants and it could easily identify as to why he speaks Russian so well. Despite his lying nature, Krycek feels inclined to allow Mulder some truth to his life. In a script that had been previously written for a Krycek-centric episode, the story clearly states that as a child, the Russian government had gotten ahold of Krycek and therefore allowed him to train and become a member. (Actual fact of this script has yet to be confirmed.)

In 1993, or Season 2, Krycek was assigned to work with a shadow conspiracy and go undercover as an FBI agent and work with none other than Mulder in means to destroy his work and separate him from Scully. But having gotten caught for what he was doing, Krycek left only to return once again years later and foil Mulder's plans. Krycek's actions are uncertain and no one knows which side he is on. Often helping the conspiracy, his government or even Mulder himself, Krycek is basically working for himself or whatever pays the rent. Having been almost assassinated himself, Krycek refuses to do business with them, especially CSM.

He's gone through a lot. Having been possessed by the black oil, getting a hand severed off, and let's not forget the many times that Mulder and Skinner have left him a bloody pulp, Krycek is a human who's seen and done a lot. He's worked with several types of conspiracies and governments dealing with aliens and the likes, been to various countries around the globe and experienced most things people would never have.

As of December 16th, 2006, Krycek is owner of a half Persian, half Kneazle kitten named Kazimir.
